An all-time favourite half day guidedPaddle the safest, most sheltered area along the Abel Tasman coastline. See lots of good stuff in a small area including islands, caves, beaches and of course, Split Apple Rock. Loved by families and the cruiser in all of us for the last 18 years. Two hours on the water of guided kayaking.
One-Day Kayak & Walk OptionAfter your morning half-day adventure (see half-day section), board the Sea Shuttle for a scenic cruise to a Fur Seal colony then onto Anchorage Bay or the Tonga Island Marine Reserve and Onetahuti Beach.
Kaiteriteri Kayaks operates short trips in the bays and coves surrounding Kaiteriteri Beach. This is by far the most sheltered area of the Abel Tasman. This makes it a perfect kayak base for families or less experienced kayakers. We’re the only kayak company in the Abel Tasman to specialise in trips for families and less experienced paddlers.
The coastline that we cover is not only sheltered but also compact. However the area retains all of the features associated with kayaking in the Abel Tasman – as well as the awesome Split Apple Rock!
- Numerous beaches
- Sea caves
- Tidal lagoons
- Split Apple Rock
You paddle a double kayak which an adult controls from the rear. The child sits in the front. We generally require at least one adult per child. With older/stronger children exceptions can be made.
We offer these special fares for TWO CHILDREN UNDER 15 accompanied by TWO ADULTS on specified trips.
Conditions and age limits apply.
